All I wanna do is...

have a little fun before I die.

Today I started to wonder about my life, my dreams and what I really want to with my life. So far I've been told so many times over and over again that 'that's impossible, you can't do it, think of something more practible'. I've been almost forced to go to high school and always the next thing was to find some graduate-school. And now I'm in university. I would like it, if I didn't have my drive to entertain and my love towards movies.

I love and need things to happen and I can't stand just hanging in the air with no-plans or life goals. My life goals have nothing to do with academic career or digging old culture. But it has everything to do with creating new culture.

I hate it that I haven't yet got a proper chance to prove the world who I really am and what I got. But nothing's gonna happen if I don't try my best to be out there. Find out about things and go for them. Being lazy and passive has not gotten anyone very far in life or has it?

A couple of pictures of me, I really don't like them, but those were probably the best ones I got.

Let's do some time travel now!

Me as a 15yo, I think that before recent, that was the last time that I felt me and knew what I want. Between the ages 15 and 20 I was kind of lost with myself.

These photos are from my 2nd trip to Prague in the fall of 2006, almost excatly 5 years ago.

I was sure that I was the ugliest creature walking earth ever. And now that I look these pictures I'm not so sure anymore.

What made me happy yesterday?

1)Seeing my friend Maria
2) Getting finally our London hostel booked(now our Paris&London-visit is all ready!)
3)Making food for someone I love(even if I'm not that good a cook and the food was not at all complicated to do)
4)Watcing a good movie and seeing places where I will be in 9 days

and the loveliest of them all, Maria got me a present, it's not even my birthday or anything. The Film had just screamed my name. Haven't watched it yet, but can't be all bad 'cause there's my fav man on earth in the cover. Isn't he adorable? (as always<3 )

Movie Monday #20 - Magic of dance

Lately I've been so busy doing everything that I have ignored my blog very badly. That's why I haven't finished yet last weeks assigment of Movie Monday. I still decided to do this weeks now, because the subject was absolutely delicious. Topic is dancemovies, which is my favorite movie related to dance.

For me, this is a piece of cake.

I have many favorite movies, but not all of them has effected me as much as this one.

Catherine Zeta-Jones is absolutely gorgeous,so beautiful and deadly. Gotta love her. I really can't name my fav scene of this movie, but one of the best is Velma Kelly's dance act, in which she tries to convince Roxie that they would be great dance-duo. ''I simply cannot do it aloneeeeee' '

I also love the last dance-scene, actually yesterdays Glee-episode of finnish tv, they did this act. Gwyneth Paltrow was good, but even she has nothing compared to these deadly ladies...Guess how I am going to name my daughters?

Pop Six Squish Uh-uh-A Cicero Lipchitz

I'm so thrilled that in my cabarée dancing lessons we have one song from this loveable movie.

Ps. If there is somebody who has not seen this film yet, watch it. I promise you won't be disapointed.

Just a quick entry

Hello pumpkins!

I am very very happy right now(and yes I have terrible mood swings again) because I've been watching 3rd rock from the sun all morning. I just love that show<3 And noup,I'm not addicted.

Today I have a student gathering, the theme is 'come as you are', so I had no other choice but to come as a princess. I took a quick photo for u, and I look all but princess in that, it does not help that the sofa is full of my stuff. Yes,I'm still living at Helsinki at my dad's because of the renovation at my own place. Hopefully I get to go home soon!

Just a quick update, my life is right now kind of busy and there is so much going on! I'll get to it as soon as I got the time, bye!

Nothing Revolutionary

I was casted in one short-film, it was a project of one girl who studies film. It was so great, I really feel alive while camera is shooting. All that is, is that moment. And I got the be the sexy one! The one who is admired and feels like Alice in Wonderland. I hope I did good work there.
Yesterday I was asked how do I found the time to do all that I'm doing, but IMO people have as much time as they want. You just need to priorise a little and cut off everything that's not neccesary and what you don't want to do.
I love to do things, I really love having a little stress and I just need things to be happening so that I can breath. Lazing around and doing nothing is not cool. Doing art, that is cool.

I have some great plans for the introvideo for Fall Formal and I have someones signed to help me.
At this moment I feel that university studies only slow me down and that I really should be doing everything else. School is not for me after all. My work(I'm the ticketsales lady at a nightclub in Sello,Espoo) started last night, the shift is from 10pm to 3am, suits me just fine. Good music, nice people and easy enough job for me.
Here's how I looked just before work;

If I was in LA...

I have this very great idea(which usually means that others consider it as a not so great idea...dunno why is that) anyhow, my idea is to make an intro video for HitRECords Fall Formal. As Joe asked us to do it...one thing he said was 'you can do it in different languages'. Well, I would do it at least in 4 languages, maybe 5 if I have the courage. But, Finnish,French,Swedish and of course in English. I guess that they would not use my other languages expect maybe Finnish, but I really really want to try and do this. I'm so unsecure about myself as an actress but this would be so simple thing to do that maybe I would manage? And this is how I could be a part of the Fall Formal, because naturally I can't go. The reason is simple, I'm here in boring, ugly Finland and the event is held in beautiful, sunny, exciting city of Los Angeles. So, basiclly I have no other choice but to do this video.

Problems I have are 1; I'm sick and I've looked prettier 2; I suck in everything which has anything to do with using cameras 3; I'm not sure if I have the courage to do this really...4; I'm not sure what should I wear in this video..would be cool to use somekind of prom dress...

You can be sure I'll be posting more info about this later on...If this is going to happen. That would also be my first RECord so I'm freaking out here.

Well...I went to shopping and I had to have it. It's so not me that it is me. This happens sometimes.

What a lovely button this cardigan has...

Me being sick does not really slow me down that much, I still went to listen my movie lecture and well...all others too which are art history, canadian archaelogy and classical archaelogy. Today I go ride my horse so there is not much I've not done except, my cabarée dancing class. I love it so much but it's not good to do any sports while sick bla blaa. I hate this dumb flu, please go away and never come back!

But being sick seems quite a good thing now because my baby arrived
tititititittiddiiiiii;

May I present, 3rd rock from the sun, the whole series. Six seasons of pure love.

I'm thinking about skipping school tomorrow because...you know, I'm too sick to go and you know this has nothing I repeat NOTHING to do with me wanting to watch 3rd rock the whole day.

The universe is not made of atoms,it's made of stories

I have decited to start write my blog in english. Mainly because I feel that I should practise my english and this should be fun. For both of us, you get to laugh at my poor grammar and I get to laugh at my even more poor spelling. Lalaaaa so let's give it a try!

This first(in english) post will not be so fun thou.

Friday morning was just an usual morning at first, I didn't have any lectures so I hadn't dressed at 11am, I was just lying on my bed thinking about getting dressed and taking the subway to library so I could study and prepare my presentation about Mohawk Indians. Suddenly my phone rang.
It was my mom, crying her heart out. All the words I could understand were 'Topi' and 'Cancer'. Two words I'd never want to hear in a same context.

I decided right away to take the first plane or train or what ever to Kuopio, to see my lovely little dog for the last time.
I took a train. I could not drive my car, Mercedes or not, I could not focus on driving, not now, not for several hours anyway.

Even thou the vet had told my mom that if she was her, she would not watch our dog over the weekend, we did watch. We know that he's not going to get heatlhy and that there is not that much time, but we just can't let him go since the only thing ,that we notice, is different is that he has cough. Mainly the nights are bad but at daytime it doesn't bother at all. He gets painkillers, just in case and we take him to the vet as soon as he does not act happy. Right now he is okey, he begs food, loves to smell things while on a walk and acts normal.

However, I know that this might be the last time I ever see my dog. It kills me, but I could not be that selfish that I'd take already him to the vet for the last sleep. My mom will definetly be there for him the last time and if I only can, I will too.
The weekend went so fast that I didn't have time to do anything else but spend time with my dog, mom, Lisbeth(the cat) and grandparents. Friday I didn't realize to take my riding stuff with me, so I didn't go ride Helmi or Liekki.
Anyway I had the time to go through some of my old stuff and I found my old VCR's, H20(I still have nightmares of that one, but there's Joseph Gordon-Levitt so...I can deal with my nightmares and only watch as far as he is in the movie...) and others I took were Amélie, Aladdin and Inventing the Abbot's(Joaquin Phoenix and Liv Tyler<3, I'm afraid that if I remember correctly this one does not work so well because I have bought it used). I also found my old Dinosaurus book, it's so great, I got it as a Christmas gift when I was 11 or so. The information has changed a lot after that but nevertheless it's a lovely dino-book.

Monday morning I took a plane from Kuopio back to Helsinki. I just love aeroplanes...They make me feel free, like anything is possible and I love it. I love to watch cities and forrests up in the air.

''One day I'll fly away
Leave all this to yesterday
Why live life from dream to dream
And dread the day when dreaming ends''

And in this context, I must add, GUESS WHO IS IN MOULIN ROUGE NEXT MONTH???? Could it be..hmm..let's see...Me and Maria perhaps?

U all see that little red button?? That stands for HitRECord and I'm part of the crew now<3 Yes my boss is Joe and this is cooool.

Thursday was full of hope, I got my first ever mail from the States, HitRECord's RECollection, I was so happy.  But I will save this story for later.

R&A- Hesher

Mitä olen tehnyt viime aikoina? Vihannut elämääni ja miettinyt pakoteitä. Varasin viimein lennot Pariisiin ja ikävää kyllä, myös paluu lennot Lontoosta, toisin sanoen 21.10-28.10 I'm gone! En aio ottaa miniläppäriä mukaan matkalle, enkä ole yhtään varma aionko edes käyttää kallisarvoista matkailuaikaa tietokoneella kyyhöttämiseen. Luultavasti en.

Tuntuu, että elän tuota matkaa varten ihan täysin, ihanaa saada seikkailla viikko hyvässä seurassa kaukana Suomesta. Eriasia on miten sopeuden elämään sen jälkeen. Not well I suppouse. Minussa suomalaista ei ole kuin ulkonäkö.

Pukeuduin yksi päivä näin;

Hame kuuluu suosikkeihini, muttei ehkä kuitenkaan sovi tyyliini.

No, luonnollisesti en voinut muuta kuin mennä, koska Joe<3
Olin tosiaan nähnyt elokuvan jo aiemmin(blogiinkin taisin kirjoittaa muutaman sanasen, joten anteeksi, toistan itseäni), sillä elokuva on jo ilmestynyt DVD:lle Suomessakin.

Leffateatterissa halusin tämän nähdä vain koska Joe on a big screen is heaven.

Hesher on aivan käsittämättömän koominen elokuva, vaikka aihe onkin melko raskas. Kuka Hesher sitten on?

Hesher on hahmona jotenkin karulla tavalla cool.

Tällä viikolla aihe on kuitenkin minulle helpompi.

Laulukin tuntui sieluttomalta.

Woody Allenin usimmassa, Midnight In Parisissa jälleen rakastettavan ihana esiintyminen.

Movie Monday #16 - Ideologiaa

Päädyin katsomaan yhden hänen elokuvansa, Stand By Me-Viimeinen kesä(Indiana Jonesin olinkin jo nähnyt, mutten ollut erityisesti kiinnittänyt huomiota Riveriin).

Stand By Me:n loppu line on suunnilleen tälläinen 'I never had friends like that later on' ja siltä minustakin tuntuu.

Pidän Stand By Me:n katsomista jonkinlaisena lapsuuteni loppumisena, mikä on aika hauska sattuma, sillä SBM käsittelee elokuvana juurikin tätä aihetta.

Dick's fav book

Ilta ylitti odotukset, muutama oikein mukava ihminen osunut samalle alalle eli ehdotonta plussaa. Toisen fuksin kanssa lauloin karaokessa Nti Grooven, olisin halunnut laulaa 'Here comes your man' -biisin, muttei sitä ollut valikoimissa.

Tunnille saapuessani soi Cherin 'Welcome to Burlesque' ja ohjaaja keräsi Liza Minelli-tyyliseen silinteriin tuntilipukkeemme. Kappaleet olivat toinen toistaan tutumpia, musikaaleista joita olen tuijotellut lähes koko ikäni, Cabaret,Chicago,Moulin Rouge.

''Well I hear the music, close my eyes, feel the rhythm
Wrap around, take a hold of my heart

What a feeling, bein's believin'
I can't have it all, now I'm dancin' for my life
Take your passion, and make it happen
Pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life''

No koska 3rd rock from the sunin Dick lukee tätä kirjaa yhdessä jaksossa!

'This man is a genious!'- oli Dickin reaktio ja omani on suunnilleen sama kirjaa lukiessa.

I'm so happy!
