Meet me at the stables

Owning a horse is definitely the most amazing thing ever. I can't understand why on earth did I not make this happen before. Yes it takes money, but for this, I am ready to fix some money issues. I have two jobs now,I take the student loan and I start to rent my horse(for the money and actually, for some days that I don't need to go to the stables..). I've already met very nice people, in fact I can say that I've made friends.

Cake& Palace

It really does not feel like summer at all...this year has gone by so quickly. Better so.

After my grand mom&aunt got back from Paris, my aunt took me to eat nepalese cuisine(my favorite food ever<3) and after we went to 'Kakkugalleria' café to eat lemon meringue pie. It was so good! 

Actually, I heard that there you can eat in a cake buffet as many pieces as you like, only 11,70e or so! SO going next week...

Grandma did not take me to Paris this time, so they brought me this.

I don't understand a thing about make ups, but this I knew to be good, since my friend who studies cosmetics has the very same eyeshadows. Very nice, I can use these to parties,to the club I work at, to school etc. 

I haven't been at the central Helsinki in like a month....so I went to couple stores, new flip flops from Spiritstore, only 19e!

I've told before that I'll invite you all to my palace, or well not exactly but I'll show how it looks. Bedroom here, since the living room is not yet ready. I'm not that decorative person, I mean I like things to look nice and pretty, but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't. I'm a horse girl after all, don't spend that much time at home.

As you can see, the main colors are violet&black. I really like violet, but it does not suit on me that well, so I use it as the decorating color...my logic...

Omg what an old TV! It works, and I rather spend my money in horses&shoes...

Nightstand was a must get when I moved here. I read often before I go to sleep, so a place for my books(other than the floor) was needed. A new(prettier) lamp is also needed...I actually got my eye on one already....Let's see when I got the money to buy it.

I lovelovelove that mirror, I got it as a Christmas present when I was 16 I think.

The bedroom is the room I spend most of the time I spend in my home. Even right now I'm on my bed with my Apple. Lately it feels like all I've done here is sleeping, but I'm just like my pony, don't like to be alone.

My girl

Hello, sorry for not posting(and sorry for posting about ponies again...haha) But I have a very very good reason for not posting, last Saturday the pony moved in Helsinki.

Here she is, FWB(finnish warm blood) mare Edelmädel, born in 2005.  Friendly we call her Elli, pretty isn't she?

Right now I'm looking for a gently rider to ride her about 2 times a week, since I'm not able to move her 7 times a week. So...If interested tell me about it :)

My little pony....Those riding pants btw, new and been on me 2 times....now they are broken since I fell , before I even got on her back xD Normally she never drops riders...just my luck this. Luckily my insurance is fair and gives me some money for new ones...Those brown ones are Eurostars so not that cheap.

The first ride after I bought her. It rained and Elli was kinda stressed out because of a new place and the rain, but all in all we are now getting used to our new stable.

My excavations for this summer seem to be over, it is possible thou that something will appear. Here's a pic from Vantaa, we had so much fun! 

Ponystuff

How can it be possible that when once in a lifetime something good is about to happen to me, it once again is taken off. I bought a pony, now she's been sick for a week and can't be moved to Helsinki. I really don't need to speak about my social life- it sucks big time. And I won't even get started on my looks. I hate myself& want to die, like Kurt Cobain would say.

I still ride Laima while the other one is three legged...Some photos my friend Anitta took last week when she came with me to the stables.

The horses are now out day& night, and must say they really love it. Here's a two year old finnhorse mare, she's very lively,loves people and always comes to salute me when I go to get Laima(who usually runs away since she's the boss of the group and doesn't want to leave them.)

.....but when I get her out she moves nicely. Who would ever believe she's almost 23...? Oc we don't do always this hard things as I've said before.

God I look/am fat. Luckily I ride big horses who carry me easily. Riding is really not the hobby for very big people...I mean, if you're like over 100 kilos you really need to watch which horse can carry you...and  over 120kilos...well...find a really muscular,big horse or just keep out of their back. Me, myself, I realize I'm already too big for little horses& ponies, Laima is quite ideal sized for me.

I've been shopping some equipment for my pony, I bought her with her basic equipment, a luxury dressage saddle including. But...oc she needs this& that so I've started to collect things, I'll be posting soon about that and hopefully soon about my pony's new home. This week I started working on the new stable, just basic pony work occasionally so the rent won't be that big :)

What I've been doing lately....

Actually,I've ridden much without the saddle( and I kinda fell this week once, good to get dropped every now& then, just that I don't get too arrogant)

My first job as an archaeologist, or well, as a digger. This is what I do 8h per day for one and a half month. Three weeks left.

Without make up, burned skin, very sexy outfit etc....But in the woods I have zero interest on my looks. With this My Little Pony-shirt, my work mates told me I'm the least contract killer like of us, I was kinda hurt...

Weekends are nice, when I'm not working at the club ,I even have a free weekends like this yeij! I went to  terrace for the first time this summer with Maria, we drank sangria& ate tortillas. After that a movie, The Avengers.

I'm buying a new car...here it is! Who was the one to say, 'size does not matter?' I know I didn't....Men,horses&cars you know....the bigger the better

And to the BIG news.

I mean, this is HUGE. 

I just bought a pony.

Those how have read my blog before, have seen her already. I rented her before, last summer&fall, she is FWB, born 2005 a mare and very highly trained. She's about 180cm tall and her name is Edelmädel, aka Elli. 

Here's few quite crappy photos of us yesterday. She lives currently in Siuntio, and she's moving near me, only 15 drive, on Saturday.And yes, she is all mine.

1. Milloin aloit kirjoittamaan blogia ja miksi?
Maaliskuussa 2010, en oikein muista edes miksi, kai se tuntui jännältä ja kivalta kirjoittaa välillä muualle kuin päiväkirjaan. Blogi tuntui myös kätevältä tavalta infota kavereita mun tekemisistä.

2. Missä näet itsesi 10 vuoden päästä?
En oikein osaa nähdä itseäni oikein missään...toivottavasti olen valmistunut tai muuten vain töissä jossain missä tykkään olla. Ei sillä etten tykkäis olla yökerhossa töissä, tykkään kovin, mutta ois hyvä saada joku vähän enemmän työtunteja sisältä työ..:D 
10 vuoden päästä tahtoisin olla naimisissa, asua kivassa asunnossa,omistaa ponin(ok,ehkä pari),olla äiti, omistaa Jimmy Choot,saksanpaimenkoiran ja Land Roverin(Discovery, not Freelander). En pidä näitä kovin todennäköisinä asioina tosin.

3. Lempi vaatemerkkisi? Perustele.
Cyberdog. Ne vaatteet<3 Pinkkiä, uv-hohtavaa ja ihonmyötäistä. Need I say more? Rakastan Cyberdogin liikettä Lontoon Camden townissa, se on 3 kerroksinen ja kuin disco, pimeä,hohtava luola jossa musiikki raikaa ja yhdessä kerroksessa on jopa tanssijat katonrajassa...Se paikka vaan täytyy kokea, että käsittää. Se on Lontoon reissujen pakollisin shoppailupaikka.

4. Oletko sinkku/varattu? Miksi?
Sinkku. Ikuisesti yksin ja silleen. Ihan suoraan sanottuna siksi, etten mä vaan kelpaa kenellekkään. 

5. Unalma-ammattisi kautta aikojen?
Rikkaan miehen vaimoksi? Noei, arkeologi tietenkin vaikka se tienkin on hieman realisoitunut mitä se on oikeasti kuin mitä lapsena ajatteli..:D Nimim.Tomb Raideria koko lapsuuden hakannut

Käytän tuoksuja. Tykkään kaikesta tuoksuvasta kosmetiikasta

I rarely get to any club, other than the one I work at, so here's some pics of my 1st of May-party...I had a very nice time, met many of my friends. Every now & then it's good to go out, even if I'm a pony girl and a little bit of an couch potato.

Next time without a saddle maybe...When I get someone to take photos :) Actually these photos I post, lie a little bit, because what I usually do with Laima is go hike in the woods. We quite rarely do this kind of work...She's old after all so we just enjoys each others company mostly.

Cherry cherry Lady

Lady is my other caballo. I ride her once a week, we do some 'dressage' and usually if I'm in the mood I try to teach her some western. You know, I ride without hands, using only my voice& legs&ass...:D But that depends very much on a day how it turns out. 

Isn't she such a small mare? No? Only 180cm/900kg...

I hate the way I sit on a horse. I'd love a decent trainer and a horse that could do things really, not one I need to be teaching myself...

When she puts her head down and moves with her back up, I love it. This is how she should move always.

Don't we look serious riders here? Lady is only just turned FIVE so, it's natural her training is not that far yet.

I've started to look a horse I could buy, but it turns out, not that easily done. I'm quite demanding I admit. I want a mare, and tall mare preferably(this is flexible thing since I'm not that tall myself..I just love riding tall horses....). I want her to be young, 10 is too old, I need her to be able to jump weekly(so healthy legs...), easy to handle(not afraid of any 'normal' things, like cars,vet, blacksmiths etc..) and well...her training should be more than mine but as we know, I'm not that talented on dressage so it's not hard to find a horse that knows more than I do.

Yesterday morning we went to flea market Valtteri in Vallila,Helsinki. Here's me at the bus stop

I only found one thing, a my little pony, generation 3. I've been trying not to buy any movies, so I didn't even look what there was on sale...otherways I would have brought home some for sure.

Once we got home from the city, we drove to Sipoo to see my horse Laima. After careful brushing and cleaning I tried to do some dressage. 

Laima is part trakhener, part thorough bred and I love her.

I think I ride better without stirrups...maybe I should let them be a little bit longer so that it'll be easier to sit and my feet would get a better position.

 She's born in 1989 in the Soviet union, would you believe?

We do not gallop that much, since she's after all an old lady already, thou perfectly healthy. But I always ride her gently and never tire her greatly, we keep riding pleasing to both of us. With my younger one, Lady the shire horse, I can do more serious work and get me& her both sweat.

As she is about 170cm high, she's just the right sized for me, in riding it's important that the horse is big enough so that your legs can easily give orders to the pony. And that the horse is strong enough to carry you, too big rider is very bad for the horses back, so rather ride too big horses than too small!!
